Human Factors in Military Training and Operations
|
| Given the crises of recent years and the current war in Ukraine, military organizations have regained importance in public perception. The success or failure of military operations is often associated with concepts such as morale, resilience, and leadership. Psychological knowledge is, therefore, of decisive importance in military training and operations. However, to contribute strongly to the success of the individual service member and the whole organization, military psychologists must strive to achieve the highest levels in their fields of activity. They accomplish this through the exchange of research results and experiences - on a national and international level. The Military Psychology and Pedagogy Chair at the Military Academy of ETH Zurich supports these efforts by hosting the International Military Psychology Symposium (IAMPS) 2023.
The conference program makes it clear that more than 60 participants from 23 nations experienced an inspiring conference at a high level. In addition to the presentations, the program includes two workshops and a poster session. The three keynote lectures by top-class speakers are also worthy of mention.
A more comprehensive report was published in the Swiss Journal of Military Sciences called 'Stratos'. Open the document
